Telus Executive Assistant (IoT Toronto) in ON, Canada

Position Overview:

TELUS is seeking the professional skills of an Executive Assistant who will support the VP for Internet of Things (IoT).

As a proven achiever and polished professional, you are a very strong organizer, communicator and proactive individual. You effectively manage stressful situations with tolerance to ambiguity, and you work well with a wide variety of people at all levels of management. You have an energetic demeanor and possess a proven track record for being a strong team player. You are a resourceful self-starter; thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and enjoy multi-tasking in a technical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive calendar management on an on-going basis

  • Independently prepare correspondence, reports, or complex presentations with graphics

  • Review and summarize information submitted to executive

  • Follow up on deadlines and commitments to or from executive

  • Coordinate meetings, conferences and travel arrangements

  • Provide professional, confidential executive support

  • Handle employee/customer requests and concerns with tact and diplomacy

  • Manage special projects as required

  • Be available outside of normal working hours to provide support to the executive on urgent matters, tight deadlines

Required Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook; multiple calendar management, comfortable dealing with multiple time zones, highly organized archiving skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word; ability to edit reports according to branding and template standards

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel; ability to work within large and complex spreadsheets

  • Excellent oral communication skills; professional and confident phone manners, in-person reception and host abilities

  • Precise and effectively written e-mails; ability to edit correspondence and reports

  • Professional corporate image combined with strong interpersonal skills, high level of professionalism, customer service, energy, speed and accuracy

  • Resourceful, with the ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Independent judgment, discretion and diplomacy

  • Dedicated, personable, and confident person who is passionate about your career

  • Makes decisions and recommendations governed by general procedures and guidelines

  • Exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing, scheduling of work assignments

  • Exercises initiative in adapting procedures to address unusual problems and resolves conflict

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting senior executives
