Telus Market Intelligence Manager - Forecasting and Insights in ON, Canada

Position Overview:

This is a high-exposure role within the Consumer Mobility Marketing organization for a driven & passionate individual who is intellectually curious, analytical, and impact-driven. The successful candidate will own the forecasting and trending analysis of key consumer wireless metrics and provide keen insights to support strategic decision making across multiple consumer marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and provide value based insight into consumer wireless base

  • Conduct churn trend analysis, measure program results and work with strategy team to evolve marketing programs & improve ROI over time

  • Conduct market analysis and provide fact based recommendations in key strategic and tactical areas supporting long and short term business strategy

  • Standard weekly and monthly dashboard reporting and develop automation process for repeated analysis

  • Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process by building market leading forecast models, providing well rounded summary updates of key performance indicators to senior management to support decision making

  • Lead relationships with stakeholders from finance and other business units to ensure alignment on key metrics at an overall TELUS level

  • Support the enterprise-wide budget and target setting process through monthly, quarterly & long term outlooks and provide business insight, risks & opportunities

  • Perform root cause analysis on trends – the ‘why’ and the ‘so what’ and identify opportunities

  • Act as an intra-marketing consultant providing insights on key initiatives to cross-functional teams

Required Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint, Tableau Cognos and/or Domo

  • SAS & SQL skills not required but preferred

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and business acumen

  • Detail orientated with a passion for deriving insights from data analysis

  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a desire to problem solve

  • Excellent communications skills including experience developing and delivering presentations to senior management

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities/needs

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Undergraduate University degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Accounting

  • MBA an asset

  • Management Consulting experience an asset

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of Business and/or Financial Analysis, preferably in the telecomm/wireless industry
