Telus Senior Strategy & Marketing Communications Manager in ON, Canada

Position Overview:

Public Mobile is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Public Mobile team as the Acquisitions Strategy and Marketing Communications Go To. In this role, you will lead two big pieces of the Public Mobile business - our strategy to acquire new customers and our brand communications.

  • For the acquisitions strategy piece, you will have the opportunity to drive and refine how we go to market to reach our target customer, while working with a stellar team to execute integrated digital campaigns

  • In terms of communications, you will own our brand voice and presence and you will be the lead for the relationship with our advertising and media agency, working with them to deliver original digital creative and media plans

As a brand, we are all about testing and learning, so we’re looking for someone who will challenge us and will come prepared to lead us in innovative and strategic ways to grow. The successful candidate should also have the analytical prowess to make decisions based on data and deep digital knowledge and experience since we’re an online-only brand and the web is where we must win the customer’s trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and refinement of acquisition strategies to achieve annual brand objectives

  • Lead the communications planning process, driving the high level strategies and collaborating with the Public Mobile team on the tactics

  • Lead the creation of original creative for digital campaigns and the media plans in such a way that media and creative support and amplify the effectiveness of one another

  • Own and nurture the relationship with our advertising and media agency

  • Own the brand voice and character, assisting the entire Public Mobile team to ensure that all communication stays on brand

  • Consistently look inside and outside the industry for ideas, innovation, and inspiration that empowers you and the entire team to think bigger and bolder as we work to make Public Mobile a recognized brand for its innovative and customer-centric approach

Required Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of and experience shaping brand strategy in a growth capacity

  • Expertise in digital marketing, coupled with deep analytical competency to make data based decisions

  • Experience with the creative development process, be it client-side or agency-side

  • Strong communications and relationship-building skills

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in business or another discipline

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing capacity
