Telus Senior Technology Lead (B2B TELUS Digital) in ON, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Working with sprint teams to create highly scalable, highly performing and secure web applications that meet our customers’ needs

  • Ensuring relentless focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement in our delivery pipeline

  • Building the right infrastructure across people, process and technology to foster the continuous delivery practice at TELUS digital

  • Working with key stakeholders to translate complex technology challenges and opportunities into meaningful business stories

  • Leading decision-making on complex architectural challenges in order to create seamless, end-to-end digital experience for our customers

  • Mentoring and coaching team members with regards to creating world class web applications

  • Ensuring our technology stack can support the agility and technical health needed to respond to our future needs

Required Knowledge:

  • Clear understanding of modern testing and continuous delivery practices and tools

  • Keen understanding of systems architecture, connecting internal systems and vendor/partner systems and applications

  • A well-developed ability to lead and mentor technical team members

  • Ability to express complex technical constructs in simple, meaningful terms

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and principles

  • Knowledge of modern programming languages (PHP, Ruby, Javascript) and familiarity with AEM, Publisher, and other Adobe technologies

  • Well defined understanding of both externally and internally hosted infrastructure, DevOps concepts and culture

  • Familiarity and practical implementation experience with accessibility (WCAG 2) best practices

  • Experience with salesforce.com is an asset

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Web development (PHP, Java, etc)

  • Architecture (web services, SOA, domains)

  • Continuous Delivery Pipelines (Jenkins, Travis CI)

  • Partner/Vendor API integration

  • SSO sign-on technologies (Oauth, SAML)

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years as a Senior Tech lead building advanced digital applications
