BMO Financial Group Director, Head of Technology Integrated Engineering in Ontario, Canada
Provide technical, functional, and strategic leadership for Integrated Engineering, which covers integrating various Engineering platform and services as complete end-to-end well engineered infrastructure solution. Apply business acumen to all components of the planning process at a department level. Oversee projects within Integrated Engineering to ensure technical/functional solutions are sound, well integrated, comply with technical strategy, and meet or exceed customer requirements and service level agreements. Responsible for design and consult of new capabilities, as well as ongoing improvement of existing capabilities, while managing cost and resource effectively and efficiently. Fully participate in the design and implementation of all HR processes including recruiting/staffing, performance management, and IT staff development activities.
The Head of Technology Integrated Engineering, reporting to the VP of Engineering, is a critical position that is responsible for continually improving and advancing our Integrated Engineering to deliver exceptional experiences to both our user community and our customers. The ideal candidate has a well-established track record of delivering solutions and tackling complex initiatives. The successful candidate has hands-on infrastructure solution engineering experience and extensive qualifications in the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of infrastructure and technology roadmaps that continuously balance innovation, speed and the need for enterprise level security measures. The candidate must have strong relationship management and communication skill to interface with CIOs, IT Operation and other key stakeholder groups. The candidate must also be an exceptional people leader and have a demonstrable track record attracting, growing and building technical teams in a fast-paced engineering driven organization.

Systems Development Engineering
Establish and maintain operations and strategic plans for systems and technical infrastructure implementation, consistent with defined organizational objectives and strategic direction
Conduct process definition, refinement and execution.
Testing/ Deliverable Quality
Ensure systems meet customer requirements and are technically sound.
Develop procedures, tools, and support to ensure thorough testing is accomplished.
Assure functional and technical integrity of system.
Provide effective follow-up and communication re: problems as they occur.
Ensure ongoing supportability of systems.
Facilitate communication and solutions across technical and business customers.
Maintain financial control and accountability on capital and operating expenses for all assigned areas of responsibility.
Identify and implement cost and productivity improvements continually while maintaining consistent quality to meet business objectives.
Seek out and pursue opportunities for new business development.
Excellent partnering, negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to set strategic direction and influence at the department level.

- B.S./M.S. or B.A./M.B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Generally, over 12 years work experience in Information Technology or Computing environment, including 10 years managerial/leadership experience.
Experience directing large engineering/development efforts.
Expert-level competency in multiple technologies
Experience creating detailed engineering roadmaps that encompass infrastructure solution and associated layers and concerns (e.g., information security, network,…)
Experience leading teams in a matrix organization
Thorough knowledge of management/leadership principles.
General knowledge of personnel practices and regulations.
Proficient knowledge of system development practice, concepts, technology, methodology, and trends in technology.
Proficient knowledge of project management methodology.
Thorough business acumen including understanding product strategy across market segments.
Sufficient business knowledge to assess impact of applied technology on customer’s business processes.
