Tasks to be Accomplished

  • Design, develop and support functional and system test applications (hardware and software) to validate production assemblies and systems

  • Automate processes to eliminate manual test, logs and papers during test and assembly

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the C# and Labview based custom test applications

  • Create technical speciļ¬cations and test plans, additional functions may include ad-hoc report generation, and data mining activities

  • Provides programming support for various interfaces

  • Work closely with Operations, Production, and R&D on continuing to build new test capabilities (NPI) while improving existing (sustaining) test procedures and methods

  • Provide technical guidance and programming standards to team

  • Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for production issues that arise internally and as well as from outsourced assemblies

  • Support quality practices (AS9100 and ISO9001)

Skills Required

  • Proficiency with LabVIEW, C, C#, ASP.NET, SQL

  • Familiar with Qt, C , JavaScript

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Creative and innovative

  • Strong working knowledge of electronics (both analog and digital)

  • Experience writing driver software to interface with test equipment

  • Strong working knowledge of standard communications protocols (i.e. RS232, RS422, USB, I2C, CAN Bus, Ethernet etc.) Education & Experience Requirements

  • University Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Community College Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands on experience programming in LabVIEW, C, C#, ASP.NET, SQL

  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing functional test and/or automation systems
