BMO Financial Group Marketing Manager, Insurance in Ontario, Canada

Mandate

This role is designed to drive marketing strategies and tactics to support BMO Insurance Creditor and Travel products. The focus is on acquisition campaign management, brand awareness and sales support. The role is accountable for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners and is key to the sales and distribution of Creditor products through the retail channel and Travel products through multiple channels (digital, branch, phone, etc.).

To be effective this role must understand the LOB’s operations model, business economics, key levers, strategies, and objectives. The Marketing Manager monitors channel performance analytics to recommend, develop, and execute strategies and tactics to profitably grow the Insurance business.

20%: Channel and relationship management

Work with Leads and Operations to generate campaign lists

Work with Sales to implement offers, action leads, promote offers

Work with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, Sales Support on campaigns

30% Planning and strategy

Develop acquisition campaigns based on customer insights and analytics

Develop and distribute sales force communications

Develop and distribute customer communications/promotion

20% Operations and regulatory oversight

Set-up fulfillment process

Monitor campaign success during and post campaign

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

  • 5 years of experience in marketing including experience in the retail and related channels

  • Experience with both traditional and digital marketing channels

  • Sound knowledge of financial services products and competitive environment

  • Sound knowledge of marketing acquisition campaigns

Skills:

  • Analytical marketer with significant acquisition campaign experience

  • Ability to analyze campaigns and channel effectiveness

  • Excellent relationship management skills, including communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Well-organized strategic thinker and creative problem solver

  • Well developed project management skills

  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and results-oriented

  • Strong execution capabilities
