Tasks to be accomplished

  • Mechanical design and analysis from concept to production
  • Responsible for the design integrity of assigned work
  • Off-the-shelf sourcing of components
  • Participating in design reviews
  • Following design standards – GD&T, Internal and industry standards
  • Verification and testing of designs
  • Part and assembly drawings generation
  • Keep in synchronization with mechanical industry trends and new technologies that may be relevant to L3 Wescam’s present and future product development

Skills Required

  • Skilled in the use of a solid modeling CAD package, preferably SolidWorks
  • A highly motivated self-starter
  • Mechanical aptitude, good hands-on skills
  • Mechanical design and analysis skills
  • Knowledge of drawing standards and mechanical design standard practice
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
  • Eligible to meet the Controlled Goods Program requirements and be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance

Experience & Education Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience *IND *LI-TP1
