BMO Financial Group Senior Analyst, Credit Systems Management (Strata and/or Triad) in Ontario, Canada


To facilitate the on-going evolution of the Credit Systems Environment through shared ownership & accountability, creativity & innovation, identifying & implementing flexible system capabilities, and, well established change management practices that provide the opportunity for business teams to maximize automated decision and business processes.Operational vision and planning responsibilities for the development, execution and leadership of short term system, process & capability enhancement projects.Operational responsibilities for design, development, and implementation of process and procedural improvements resulting in solutions that are fast, efficient, effective, creative and meet or exceed business needs or objectives. Risk Management responsibilities for ensuring management and change control practices are operational and executed for all CSM managed changes

Management and Planning

Manages & plans activities associated with assigned Segments, Products & Processes.

Establishes a 1 to 2 year direction or plan for assigned Segments, Products & Processes, aligned to the overall Credit Systems Environment plan (as outlined by System Manager, Sr System Manager &/or Senior Manager).

Coordinates the development and execution of short to medium term projects & initiatives supporting assigned Segments, Products & Processes.

Represents CSM on Business Partner projects, as assigned, identifying and managing CSM team activities as per standard practices.

Change Management

Maintains the integrity of change management processes supporting assigned Segments, Products & Processes, including:

- Ensuring documentation standards are followed, are complete and accurately reflect the implementation of existing and proposed tables and strategies;

- Confirming and validating testing and simulation functions are completed in accordance with expectations of the change management processes;

- Cross impact assessments are documented and communicated within the immediate system management team, the P&C Risk team and business partners, as appropriate;

- Verification and monitoring activities are planned and completed as required for all changes implemented in the production environments.

Actions CSM Change Management process, including project planning, design, development, testing/simulation, implementation and post implementation activities according to established processes & controls, for changes associated with assigned Segments, Products & Processes.

Identifies, recommends and implements enhancements to supporting change management and implementation processes.

Identifies opportunities to improve and enhance the Credit Systems Environment that deliver on BMO’s Vision of Defining a Great Customer Experience.

Reporting and Monitoring

Establishes standards for reporting and monitoring functional implementations of assigned Segments, Products & Processes.

Reviews reports, provides feedback, and, escalates and actions identified issues or concerns

Relationship Management

Represents CSM on development plan initiatives or business process initiatives impacting assigned Segments, Products & Processes.

Manages relationships and communication with business partners (internal and third party), as required.

Contributes to cross functional teams responsible for product, process and strategy enhancements


Advanced knowledge of Lending/Credit Systems &/or Automated Decision/Business Rules Management Systems.

Ability to coordinate, partner in and/or lead projects of medium complexity.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of BMO products, processes, controls & practices.

Experience in either BMO lending practices, and/or, technical knowledge of credit systems.
