Baxter Senior Business Analyst - Hardware in Ontario, Canada

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide overall oversight and monitoring of Baxter-Owned Hardware (eg, PD cyclers, vaporizers, JB Warmers, etc)

  • Determine the process for Physical Counts and Validations of Baxter-Owned hardware and lead/perform execution of this within the 3 to 5 year Policy requirement.

  • Perform reconciliations of the physical validation to Hardware Tracking and to the Fixed Asset Subledger.

  • Ensure that the Hardware Tracking System is accurate and well maintained. Determine processes to achieve this and implement/document.

  • Document these processes into Business Operating Procedures and keep the documentation up to date.

  • Ensure Robust Processes for all hardware movements that are documented, maintained and well understood. (additions, retirements, discards, returns, validations, etc).

  • Clearly establish accountabilities for the various departments through cross functional roles/responsibilities for hardware processing. Develop a RACI and educate those accountable on a regular basis (example with CTS, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial business).

  • GE Contract Management for vaporizers – ensure adequate controls at GE for reporting and safeguarding of vaporizers, including reconciliation to Baxter records.

  • Quarterly Impairment Reviews – ensure assets are generating revenue streams. Determine methodologies for assessing revenue streams and impairment testing.

  • Idle device monitoring – determine process to monitor and implement (ensure returned or charged).

  • Accurate depreciation – Review BAS assessment of depreciation rates by asset to ensure consistency (minimum quarterly)

  • Good business acumen and understanding of key financial/operational processes.

  • Strong Excel skills

  • JD Edwards or similar ERP experience would be an asset


  • Strong familiarity with Baxter Hardware.

  • Understands and applies corporate and departmental SOP’s/work instructions; Creates or edits existing SOP’s/work instructions as needed. Contributes new ideas to improve the stakeholder experience.
