About the job

Akamai is seeking a Product Architect for our Web Experience engineering team. We need an individual that is passionate about web performance and image technologies, has a mind for distributed system architecture but also understands the business, and can work cross-functionally with a variety of core and supporting roles/teams to ensure overall success of the product.

At Akamai, Product Architects operate at the interface between product management and the engineering team. In collaboration with customers, product management and engineering, the product architect translates business requirements into a technical solution. Typically the technical solution has many interconnections and dependencies on other Akamai technologies, and the Product Architect has the key role in identifying, rationalizing, negotiating and coordinating those interactions. As Product Architect you will be responsible for overall product architecture and will represent that to the architecture review board, to the executive, to the field and to customers.
