We are currently seeking an Intern for a four (4) month term to be a key contributor to an internal intellectual property initiative and assist in the transition of one line of business’ knowledge management artifacts into the common infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Intellectual Property Coordinator:
Assist in information management and data migration.
Assist in managing transition of knowledge management artifacts from one platform to another
Perform other related duties as required
Act with professionalism and integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information
Results-oriented with attention to detail
Maintain a proactive and logical approach to information gathering, with an ability to combine complex ideas and present information clearly and effectively
Demonstrate integrity within a professional environment
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
Currently enrolled in or completed a degree or diploma program with an IT-focus
Experience in MS office products and windows operating environment
Experience in Information/Data Management concepts and structures
Up to one year of relevant work experience
Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
Strong written and verbal communications skills. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Effective time management skills
Experience in data modelling will be considered a strong asset
Bilingualism in both official languages will be considered a strong asset
Must hold a valid reliability security clearance
Please note that this position is based in our Manotick location and does require travel to our downtown office.
