Thispermanent full-timeposition is an excellent opportunity to become a member of the Insurance Business Systems team, you will be providing guidance on all aspects of mortgage insurance initiation and servicing policy and effectively support or lead the monitoring and redevelopment / implementation of insurance products, policies, systems or services. You will also be providing project planning, management and measurement skills and techniques in a team environment and on individual projects.
How You Will Be Contributing
Developing logical, well-reasoned and cost-effective solutions to problems related to system processing, development and implementation for all insurance initiation, servicing, risk management and reporting.
Developing detailed requirements/specifications and accompanying test plans for policy, product, system or service changes.
Working directly with clients, modeling requirements, performing data analysis, and aiding in root cause analysis as part of the issue management process.
Developing incremental improvements to operational processes, policies, products, services and systems.
Applying a broad range of research and analytical services using computer based tools and skills, during both the early exploratory phases of projects and frequently as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Performing and assisting internal and external clients in testing small and large releases.
Providing project planning, management and measurement skills and techniques to teams and applying those same techniques to individual projects.
What We Are Looking For

Post secondary education in Business, Economics, Finance, or Computer Science, and demonstrated a successful track-record of five (5) years with increasing responsibility in research, analysis, policy development and business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Highly developed qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships, recognize opportunities for improvement and contribute to a working environment where diversity is valued, respected and integrated.
Experience in gathering, developing and documenting user requirements, system testing and implementation of automated business processes.
Ability to clearly articulate high level and low level views of requirements and perform solution assessments.
Demonstrated ability to gather data from many sources, synthesize information, draw conclusions and make recommendations based on solid research.
Ability to achieve results, deliver quality work and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency working in a computer aided environment, using software such as MS Office applications, graphics, spreadsheet analysis, etc.
Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks and projects concurrently
Ability to collaborate with clients to evolve business processes to gain operational efficiencies.
Knowledge of mortgage industry in Canada (i.e. real estate finance, mortgage insurance, mortgage loan underwriting policies, insurance risk analysis and market housing programs).
Business Analysis Certificate (e.g. IIBA).
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Working with Requirements Management / IT Service Management tools.
Experience working with tool such as SAS or Business Intelligence Tools.
