Purpose of the Job

Supervise the day-to-day activities and staff of assigned work area e.g. Quality Assurance, Fulfillment, Returns etc. Monitor workflow, assign work, conduct performance reviews, create individual development plans etc. and ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely manner to respond to customer needs.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate hours for staff and other required resources in assigned work area including revising allocation to meet business needs. Direct Logistics Support associate in the completion of weekly schedules. Assign staff to specific work areas, assign work and monitor workflow to ensure efficiency.

  • Provide direct supervision/leadership to staff reporting including coaching/advising, responding to queries and concerns, responding to Associate Relation issues, conducting performance reviews etc. Create and support individual development plans for each report direct.

  • Review and analyze associate activity data and make revisions e.g. staffing changes, revisions to policies/procedures as required. Discuss issues and concerns with Logistics Operations Manager and provide regular activity reports.

  • Monitor and maintain the appropriate Health & Safety and environment standards and ensure all corporate resources are protected within the complete supply chain.

  • Develop and implement ongoing associate communication plan. Communicate regularly with associates on a variety of issues e.g. AES feedback sessions, OFI generation and feedback, changes to policies / procedures, general associate information, special program implementation etc.

  • Identify training opportunities and provide training as required for associates. Monitor and review effectiveness of training programs on the job, and make recommendations for revisions and/or additional training as required.

  • Ensure all associates work in compliance with all laws and regulations and attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma

  • A minimum of 12 months of previous work experience

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of related system e.g. Lotus Notes, TARS

  • Demonstrated organizational/planning and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills

We are looking to hire two enthusiastic team leads for our afternoon shift times running from 1:00PM-9:00PM. Starting wage $17.50/hour but is consumerate with experience.
