Position Overview:

We hire the best and the brightest Service Representatives as our first point of contact experts for inbound residential and home-based business customer calls.

Your goal will be to process queries related to customer accounts and orders, programs, promotions, and other matters of interest in a professional, accurate and timely manner. It is imperative that our customer's needs are understood, and that the appropriate TELUS sales and service solutions are recommended and delivered.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Sell TELUS future friendly products and services; and recognize sales opportunities

  • Identify customer requirements; initiate and/or update systems to ensure successful order completion and service delivery

  • Handle all inbound queries and advocate resolutions to issues in a timely, accurate manner

You will be entitled to an excellent compensation package, with a starting wage of $17.38 per hour plus sales incentives . Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Successful experience in a sales role and/or customer service environment

  • Familiarity with communication products and services

  • Mathematical aptitude

  • Able to deliver sales and service excellence by demonstrating tenacity, persuasiveness, and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to present a professional image and communicate effectively

  • You are able to analyze data, utilize problem-solving skills, and recommend solutions

  • Able to maintain a high level of performance under the pressure of time constraints and a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Must have accurate and efficient keyboarding and data entry skills

  • Commitment to continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply learned skills and complete and pass all training requirements

Additional Requirements:

  • You have the ability to work various shifts including evenings, Saturdays, and statutory holidays based on business requirements

  • You are able to work a minimum of 19 hours on a weekly basis

  • Bilingualism is an asset
