Telus Manager - National Sales Effectiveness in QC, Canada

Position Overview:

You are a forward-thinking leader and an analytical professional who acts as a trusted advisor to the sales teams you support. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Business Support, the Manager - National Sales Effectiveness will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the functions of our sales teams. The goal of the Manager -National Sales Effectiveness is to ensure that our sales efforts are successfully coordinated and consistently managed to achieve sales targets and forecasts.

The successful candidate will be skilled at enabling the achievement of sales targets through the continuous efficiency improvement of our sales teams; ongoing evaluation of our sales strategy and plans; implementation of effective tactics and continuous performance measurement and reporting.

Responsibilities:

The Manager - National Sales Effectiveness must be adept at performing well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for:

  • Proactive management of the sales funnel by working closely with sales team leadership

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of the sales process

  • Ensure the implementation of effective tactics as part of the sales process

  • Translate forecasts and sales targets into operational requirements

  • Support senior executives with accurate and meaningful reporting and data analysis of sales productivity and performance

  • Provide analysis and support to drive overall profitability of the organization including cost reporting and analysis

  • Support VP of Operations & Business Support with the financial performance analysis of units outside the sales organization

  • Identify and support the implementation of tactics targeting the improvement of financial performance & profitability of various business units

Required Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of the sales process and sales functions

  • Strong understanding of financial performance, financial drivers and supporting metrics,

  • Strong presentation skills and effective stakeholder management skills, interacting with various levels across the organizations

  • Knowledge of healthcare technology industry will be considered an asset

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including financial analysis

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to partner with others and work autonomously to achieve objectives

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced culture and thrive in an ever-changing, sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills to effectively build key relationships and to negotiate and facilitate solutions

  • Strong understanding of key performance metrics that drive profitable decision making

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively summarize ideas for senior leadership

  • Able to collaborate with large cross-functional teams and numerous stakeholders to get support for programs to execute within tight timelines

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • University Degree in Science, Economics, Mathematics or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience with sales and financial reporting and analysis

  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager, Manager of Sales Operations or equivalent an asset
