Telus Quality Assurance Analyst I - TSSSF in QC, Canada
Our UAT Team is looking for an energetic individual who has 2 to 5 years of experience with User Acceptance Testing practices and is interested in expanding their UAT skill set while working on exciting projects in a fast-paced environment, which values communication and contribution by all team members. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, and will be capable of working independently, as well as in a team setting.
Reporting to the UAT Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in all business quality assurance activities for their assigned projects. The candidate is also expected to participate in meetings with the Product, Business and Solution Delivery teams regarding requirements, test planning and estimation, and creation and execution of test cases.
University degree or equivalent degree from a technical institute or college in the field of computer science, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of Health Claims Business process would be a great asset

Able to learn and adapt quickly
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing responsibilities and requirements
Comfortable working under pressure with rapidly changing priorities and aggressive timelines
Able to prioritize their workload based on priority and project schedule with input from the manager
Ability to identify potential issues or risks and report to the manager
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Capable of communicating effectively outside of UAT team for the purposes of gathering required information, communicating problems and achieving resolutions
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Goal oriented self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision and has an appetite for continuous learning
Ability to utilize software quality assurance principles and practices including test planning, test strategy, test matrix design in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Office products, Internet Explorer, and Firefox
Strong knowledge of Web Application testing
- 2-5 years of work experience in a fast paced, high pressure QA environment
