Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Inspector will ensure compliance to all specifications and provide Quality documentation as required.

Including but not limited to:

  • Incoming inspection for Raw material and transformed parts

  • Inspect, measure and record at all required hold points for Rubber and Fabrication

  • Provide training to designated operators for inspection backup

  • Pre-Shipping inspection to ensure parts meet drawing and traveller specifications

  • Technical support to Welders, Fabricators and Rubber Liners on the afternoon shift

  • Prepare and update NDE requirements for welding department

  • Prepare quality documentation for Shipping to customers

  • Use Compliant Pro to fill out non-conforming tickets and track rework process

  • Accompany and facilitate inspections from third party inspectors

  • Perform inspections at supplier facilities when required

  • All other duties as assigned by your manager

Eductaion/Experience:

Red Seal Fabricator with previous experience in inspection. 5 years experience in fabrication.

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, diagram, drawings and specifications.

Computer Skills:

Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint knowledge. Prior experience with Quality Management software, ERP, Manufacturing or Inventory database software would also be beneficial.
