Job Summary:

Our Vancouver office is

looking for an inside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities

while providing exceptional service to existing customers. The successful candidate will be a consummate

and credible sale professional selling Anixter products and solutions to

contractors and end-user customers. This

role is focused on new business development and is suited to people who are

‘sales hungry’ and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with

effective and successful results.

Job duties

  • Identifypotential customers and develop a plan to reach them

  • Closenew business deals by coordinating requirements and developing andnegotiating contracts

  • Uncovernew opportunities and buying centers within existing accounts

  • PresentAnixter to potential clients through telephone calls and emails

  • Responsiblefor successfully managing the sales process; lead generation, solutionpitch, negotiation, close and post sale service

  • Responsiblefor new and existing business. You areexpected to be autonomous however you will work in close collaborationwith your supervisor for complex pitches and strategies

  • Manageand maintain a pipeline and ensure all sales administration is up to dateusing our software

  • Createand be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any furtherdocumentation, following Anixter’s procedure

  • Respondto tenders and requests for information in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

Reporting directly to the Location Manager, the

successful candidate for this position will possess:

Experience & Schooling:

  • Certificateor diploma in an CET/ ICT discipline(asset)

  • Minimum2 years experience in a sales roles

Job-specific knowledge:

  • Goodknowledge of electrical wire and cable products such as medium voltage,industrial, commercial andinstrumentation cable(asset)

  • Goodknowledge of electronic wire and cable products such as multi conductorand fire alarm(asset)

  • Understandingof electrical products that are used to install cabling solutions

  • Understandingof security and audio and video cabling solutions(asset)

  • Microsoftoffice and Lotus Notes

  • Excellentability to communicate in English(written and spoken)
