Merchandisers

are responsible for ensuring all product and vendor promotions are correctly

displayed and optimized on our website. Responsible for analyzing market

trends, category performance, sell-through trends and competitive price/market

positioning. Working closely with Category Managers, Merchandisers execute

product promotional roadmaps and manage all aspects of the creative process of

banners, leader-boards and product placement. Merchandiser work in tandem with Corporate Marketing to ensure program execution within all company sanctioned marketing vehicles.

  • Co-create and execute merchandising / promotional programs to help Category Managers and strategic vendors promote their respective brands and products at Newegg.ca

  • Create / develop high-impact banners maximizing brand exposure and promotional campaigns (i.e. Homepage Leader-board, info-centre, Daily Deals, Shell Shockers etc.)

  • Review key competitor site on a daily basis to leverage and maximize our competitive standing in the market place

  • Proactively work with Category Management team to ensure and plan proper procurement of product to support all marketing merchandising and promotional programs

  • Utilize MDF and other vendor incentives through innovative merchandising program and initiatives to drive effective sell-through

  • Develop productive and collaborative relations within the vendor community to increase participation and funding levels for all assigned vendors equal to or greater than company forecasts

  • Responsible for accurate tracking and management of all MDF/VIR/Co-op programs with assigned vendors using our EIMS platform and governing processes.

  • Perform daily maintenance of Newegg.ca site, and the management of key tab or category stores

  • Coordinate with External Marketing team to execute company sanctioned merchandising programs

  • Image creation of new or unique products for Canada

  • Must be knowledgeable about various e-commerce marketing methodologies, as well as traditional media, internet marketing and social media

  • 3-5 years of merchandising experience in an e-commerce environment, with experience dealing with tier 1 brands within the IT and CE vendors community

  • 3-5 years of experience managing vendor P&L including VIR, MDF and Co-op accounts and utilization

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
