Working here is your opportunity to shape an industry that’s vital to us all.Job SummaryReporting to the Manager, Logistics and Business planning, the Analyst, Supply Operations and Planning Analytics is responsible for planning, procurement and logistics activities for finished products, in order to ensure optimum inventory levels and continued product availability for customers. The analyst is responsible for performing the day to day buying & planning activities which includes (i) updating and maintaining the master procurement schedule and (ii) follow up with suppliers on open purchase orders. This role involves working independently and creatively with the other department within the organization to ensure a smooth and seamless supply to the market. Main Responsibilities1. Performs the supply planning and procurement business processes, including the buying, production planning, inventory management and product logistics. Leads the progress of contract manufacturing, batch release and logistics through meetings with vendors and internal groups. 2. Responsible for the purchasing of assigned products.3. Leads key discussions with vendors on the follow up on purchase orders and manages day to day activities.4. Presents to management of potential upcoming operation issues in view of requirements, product transfers and new products and provides plan of action.5. Responsible for providing and presenting key metrics: adherence to plan, open orders reports, specific production related concerns, upcoming launch progress, inventory levels, etc.6. Collaborate with the Procurement group on sourcing, quality, or delivery issues, and work closely with Marketing, Sales and Customer Service to continuously improve service level while optimizing inventory levels.7. Responsible for the relationship with the third party logistics (3PL) partner 8. Leads the business process redesign and standardization for Materials Management, for warehousing, for shipping and for receiving and ensure standardization of business processes.9. Define and maintain department scorecard and monitors progresses.10. Ensures system data integrity, and ensure that the inventory model is up to date.11. Define and create necessary management reports. 12. Monitors product shelf life and provides solutions to reduce obsolescence risks.Specific Responsibilities1. Continuously maintain and develop skills in general purchasing practices, company global purchasing standards, as it relates to strategic sourcing, and other procurement activities. 2. Act as a Company representative by demonstrating a respect for established corporate values.3. Participate to the development and the implementation of methods, procedures and internal rules needed for proper operations of the department, and apply company policies, procedures and internal rules.4. Leads buying and supply planning activities5. Act as key contributor to request for RFP process6. Assess key performance indicators (KPI) for department dashboard7. Contribute to continuous improvement within the departmentQualificationsPosition Requirements1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or in Operations Management, or equivalent; MBA or MSc, and APICS designation (CPIM) are considered assets. 2. Working knowledge of Materials Management, Materials Planning, Manufacturing Execution.3. 3-5 years of experience in buying/planning and inventory management. 4. Strong analytical and strategic mindset5. Strong capacity to work under a fast paced and changing environment.6. Demonstrates strong ability for planning and prioritization of multiple activities.7. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.8. Detail oriented towards continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.9. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management.10. Effective communication skills11. Bilingual (written and oral)12. Knowledge of ERP systems such SAP/SmartOps/IBP or JDA, or other software related to demand planning is a plus13. Bilingual (French and English)14.
