Agrium Inc Logistics Coordinator in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

At Access we provide warehousing and logistics for major manufacturers of crop input products throughout Canada and the United States. We are currently looking to fill two Full Time positions:

Logistics Coordinator – Saskatoon, SK

Main Function:

  • Building Loads in Trans Plus, order entry into TMS.

  • Ensures timely and accurate dispatching and scheduling of deliveries.

  • Uploads and downloads DMS transactions to capture all sales documents - every dispatch of a truck

  • Hours of Work: Vary depending on the time of year. Flexibility is required.

  • Ensure all required dispatch work is complete, loads ready, paperwork / trip sheets complete, etc.

  • FleetWave - mileage entries

  • Fleet card expense management

  • Ensure entry of daily trip ships into EZ Labour daily is completed. Complete payroll and hours of service daily.

  • Maintain a fleet of road ready equipment

  • Work with driver’s to ensure that enough trucks

  • Determine best method of completing shipments based on available driver hours.

  • Audit Trip sheets and drivers logs to ensure proper MOT compliance

  • Fleetnet transaction capture and sales reporting (into equipment fills)

  • Maintains truck files for NSC / TDG requirements

  • Weekly - tailgate sessions.

Responsible to ensure that all Transportation is operating based on safety standards.

  • Standards must be met for

  • Transport Canada which is subject to external audit.

  • Maintains all EH&S related files for drivers, trucks and National Safety Code compliance

  • Perform random audits to ensure compliance with safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures

Maintain Accurate files:

  • Driver files for compliance

  • Equipment files

  • POD’s

Work with the IT department to ensure proper systems (Transplus) in place to manage the day to day logistics operation.

Ensure that all staff complete and maintain procedures manuals to ensure back-up support

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2 years prior Logistics and supply management experience

  • Excellent telephone/communication/people skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Word/Excel, good keyboarding skills

Education:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.

Other:

  • Strong time management and priority allocation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Familiar with Saskatchewan Geographies as related to delivery points.

  • Must be safety conscious

  • Knowledge of AS400 and TransPlus system would be an asset
