Digital Marketing Manager

The Digital Marketing team leads Mobile, Web, eCRM (customer relations management) and other Digital programs. This role will focus primarily on mobile and eCRM, however may also work with the larger team on web initiatives. The Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for the strategic planning, development, and execution of OLG Lottery initiatives in the areas of: Mobile Apps, e-mail, relationship and data management, as well as other touch points such as the Lottery Win Line IVR and certain integration points with other digital channels such as web,, and promotions.
The Manager’s role is to help the Lottery Marketing Communications team attract, engage and retain players with high-quality digital experiences. They will lead multi-channel, multi-platform development of evergreen tools and manage data-driven communications to our players that drive engagement and education. They will ensure that everything that we produce delivers value to our customers and our business.
The Manager represents Lottery on digital marketing initiatives across all lines of business and, within Lottery, works with external vendors and partners and internal clients and support teams to execute strategies. The Manager also manages budgets for programs, projects, platforms and development. They may also manage a team in the future.
In This Position You Will Have the Opportunity to:
Keep abreast of industry trends and champion innovative and creative strategies for internal clients (including Product Development, Sales, Key Accounts)
Work with industry experts and external partners to define and guide implementation of digital marketing strategies, e.g. strategy for mobile apps
Collaborate with other lines of business and represent Lottery on cross-divisional projects and initiatives in the area of digital marketing. Represent the MarCom group where appropriate for all channels (Web, Mobile, CRM and other) and act as a backup to the other managers on the team
Collaborate with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to define opportunities that leverage the partnerships and new media to meet business objectives and attract new customer segments
Champion the use of digital tactics internally and among clients and stakeholders, demonstrate its value and contribution to business objectives, guide best practices and implementation to strengthen results
Project Management and Execution
Guide a team of professionals to develop proactive and effective digital campaign plans to meet business objectives and communication goals
Manage internal client, internal support team, and vendor relationships to ensure tactical implementation of campaigns are efficient, effective, and meet business objectives
Develop, where required, new processes, governance structure, resources, support, and operational infrastructure enhancements to enable campaign execution
Define campaign metrics; conduct analysis of results, interpret, and make recommendations for improvement to continuously enhance programs
Review and approve projects through the stakeholder review process, CPG process, to ensure deliverable timelines and objectives are met
Consult with relevant stakeholders and seek consensus to overcome barriers in implementation of new media initiatives
Identify and mitigate risks in project timelines and deliverables, and especially those associated with venturing into new opportunities made available to the Business by new media technologies and solutions
Influence and work with a variety of internal and external partners; consult with relevant stakeholders to build consensus, resolve problems, and identify mitigation tactics to drive project teams to overcome barriers and successfully delivery programs
Manage related vendors and roster(s)
Collaborate with IT and other support resources and vendors to identify and implement enhancements to infrastructure to enable campaign execution and/or implementation of best practices
Support internal clients (Product Management, Sales, Key Accounts) and Marketing Communications teams in the delivery of their business objectives via interactive and new media initiatives
Planning and Business Management
Manage departmental and campaign budget and internal and external resources and documentation to develop, contract, cost/negotiate programs and vendor relationships, including associated RFPs, RFQs, rosters, etc.
Support Lottery Business Unit planning process by participating in planning with Brand and Category teams, Product Development, Sales and Key Account
Define annual plans, budgets, and deliverables for the Web and CRM channels and manage throughout the year
What you will need to succeed in this Position:
Marketing or Business Degree or equivalent with experience in consumer packaged goods marketing and related experience in customer relationship management, interactive/digital marketing communications
Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-disciplined environment including technology, new business development, marketing communications, as well as good understanding of research
Proven success in managing and launching a mobile app
Experience with writing and implementing CRM platforms
Experience with project management, Marketing communications, CRM processes and technology
Proficiency with standard software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes, web browsers
