SummaryThe Client Services Representative is responsible for providing direct client services to CIHI’s Clinical Administrative Databases (CAD) clients. These services include: product education and support, consultation and building of relationships with healthcare stakeholders, and other AACIS/CAD projects as assigned.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromotes CIHI programs, products and services and demonstrates sound knowledge and advice for clients.Provides direct client services (e.g. data interpretation using data collection manuals, directories or electronic reports, training/onboarding of new clients, data submission monitoring and issue resolution) to ensure effective participation in CIHI’s Clinical Administrative Databases.Ensures requests for consultation on CIHI products and services are properly channeled and expedites stakeholder use of them.Provides product implementation and support (e.g. documentation, specification development, testing and deployment).Communicates with CAD stakeholders (i.e., ministries of health, health care organizations, data users and other external organizations).Assists with data quality initiatives.Participates in CAD/AACIS projects and ensures the completion of assigned deliverables.

Knowledge & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Health Service Management, Health Information Management, or a related field.At least five years related experience in health care or a related field.Good understanding of and experience with utilization management and data analysis as applied to the health care sector.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within teams or autonomously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.Project management experience in a health environment is an asset.Knowledge of CIHI products, services and general familiarity with CIHI as an organization is an asset. Previous experience working with DAD or NACRS in a hospital setting would be an asset.Current knowledge of hospital information systems and/or electronic health records and experience with their implementation and use is a definite asset.Knowledge of Health care classifications systems, research methodologies and health law is an asset.Knowledge of Biological sciences (medical terminology, pharmacology) is an asset.Fluency in both official languages is an asset.Willingness to travel as required.
