The compensation specialist will support the design, delivery and administration of compensation programs globally. You will provide subject matter expertise on D+H compensation program, and provide guidance to Human Resources Business Partners and leaders in the interpretation and application of compensation policies and guidelines. You will play a key role in the delivery of compensation programs through strong partnerships with Human Resources Business Partners in the roll-out of policies and procedures, and ensuring employees and leader’s understanding of compensation, linkage between pay and performance, as well as the value of total rewards. You will also support strategic compensation decisions through value-added analytics to enable thoughtful and creative solutions that support business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as advisor to Human Resources Business Partners and leaders on compensation issues, ensuring compensation decisions align with company’s compensation practices, talent strategy and compensation philosophy

  • Support the review of current compensation programs and processes, and the development of new programs by researching market trends, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and prepare recommendations for HR leaders review and approval

  • Develop and/ or administer job profiles and review job evaluations in accordance with D+H’s Global Career Level Framework

  • Communicate compensation program and policies to increase employees’ understanding of D+H compensation program as well as the value of total rewards

  • Manage year-end compensation process in partnership with HR Business Partners

  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation related processes in Workday

  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness through continuous process improvement, automation and innovation

  • Lead small to medium size compensation reviews and projects, or participate as core team member in large and complex projects

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of progressive compensation experience, including market analysis, compile recommendations based on quantitative analysis, and presentation of findings and recommendations to Human Resources Business Partners and leaders

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Economics or HR) and working towards related designation (CCP, GRP, etc.)

  • Strong consultative skills, supporting business needs and collaborative with HR business partners

  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex reporting, understand statistical information and make clear and logical recommendations based on thorough analysis of the data

  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and have strong attention to detail

  • Experience in job evaluation and working knowledge of job levelling framework

  • Clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and in a fast paced and high growth environment

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience in high-tech industry or consulting an asset

  • Occasional travel may be required
