About the Role The successful candidate will combine outstanding relationship skills with analytical abilities with a passion for enabling our people to exceed their potential and also attract and retain the right people for the organization. The HR Generalist will provide ongoing, daily support to assigned client/program groups. This will include providing assistance and guidance on questions and activities related to recruiting, compensation and benefits, and other HR programs related to the Toronto and Western offices. This role provides a hybrid-mix of recruitment and generalist duties. Ideal candidates will be resourceful and innovative and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for individuals who can contribute to: Being the first point of contact on HR for staff and management within assigned client/program areas. This involves providing advice and guidance in all areas of Talent Management in collaboration CIHIs HR Services and Pay & Benefit Services team.Fostering positive employee engagement by providing excellent client services through delivery of effective HR services, such as corporate orientation to new staff, coordinating employee leaves and resolution of employee relations issues that may arise.Leading the full-cycle recruitment and selection process, in consultation with the hiring manager, for assigned positions while ensuring a positive candidate experience. This includes sourcing and assessing qualified candidates using online social networking tools and technology, while measuring the performance of social media recruitment activities.Ensuring the provision of group support for HR program implementations and ongoing maintenance and operation of HR programs, policies and special projects, as required.
Knowledge & Experience College diploma in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. Completion of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation preferred.A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 2 years’ corporate HR recruitment experience, specifically with IT roles.Excellent client service, organization, communication, negotiation and critical thinking skills.Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment and to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment.Experience using HRIS system and an applicant tracking system is a definite asset To find out more about this role and other exciting opportunities visit our website atwww.cihi.ca and check out our “Careers” section.
