The Senior Marketing Manager will have a key role in further developing Alexion’s PNH franchise by ensuring that the marketing strategy and tactics support understanding of PNH, the accurate and timely diagnosis of PNH, rapid access to Soliris and appropriate on-going use of Soliris. This position will liaise with multiple business functions to ensure appropriate coordination of activities and flawless execution to drive PNH business results.
Leading the overall strategy that will grow the Canadian PNH business
Working in close collaboration with the Global PNH Therapeutic Area group to ensure global alignment
Leading the Canadian strategic planning process for PNH, including development of Canadian situational assessment, strategies and tactics in a cross-functional manner
Developing and ensuring alignment of marketing strategies, positioning and messaging to support the Canadian market
Leading development and implementation of key Canadian PNH marketing initiatives.
Guiding Canadian market research to evaluate and assess PNH performance, messaging, and strategic direction
Development and implementation of a Canadian strategic plan to enhance diagnostic testing for PNH
Developing and maintaining strong cross functional partnerships with other key functional areas (i.e., Sales, Medical, Regulatory)
Managing strategic external agency relationships supporting PNH – including management of budget and performance
Conducts regular business reviews with senior leadership on brand KPI’s and market dynamics
Minimum 8 -10 years Pharma/Biotech experience
Minimum of 3-5 years Marketing experience and life cycle management demonstrating brand leadership
Leading teams or project management through strong interpersonal, partnership and communication skills
Strong strategic and analytical skills
Proven project management, planning and organizational ability
In-depth knowledge in key principles of brand management, HCP promotion and the sales process
Experience in managing external brand agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis and managing promotional budgets
Experience with Customer Service Models and Diagnostic programs preferred but not mandatory
Experience in Marketing of Rare Disease drugs preferred but not mandatory
Bilingual (French & English) an asset.
B.A./B.S. in business or scientific field is required
