Amazon.com Agency Development Manager in Toronto, Ontario

In order to accelerate the next phase of Amazon Media Group’s (AMG) development we are committed to transforming the depth, scale and ambition of our partnerships with major media agencies. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior business development leader to join the team at an early stage to shape and drive AMG’s strategic agency partnerships.

Displaying a consultative style, candidates must be excellent communicators; experienced at operating to C-Level with agencies and advertisers and able to earn trust with senior stakeholders across other Amazon teams. In addition candidates should be comfortable with complex data sets and have the ability to invent and simplify for customers. Candidates will be self-motivated, happy to work autonomously and highly goal-oriented in order to contribute to AMG’s ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will empower agency partners to leverage Amazon’s unique measurement and technology capabilities to deliver meaningful business outcomes for advertisers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a customer-led strategy for growth for media agencies – including close collaboration with local AMG leadership

  • Become an expert on Amazon in terms of providing shopper marketing and retail insights

  • Build and manage a detailed engagement strategy to C-Level business reviews

  • Lead education and enablement of key agency functions including delivery of agency-wide events

  • Coach and develop ecommerce talent within agencies

  • Identify opportunities for agency collaboration around large-scale creative solutions – including pro-active engagement with creative agencies

  • Liaise with global teams to identify transformative opportunities for agency partnerships offered by AMG’s product development roadmap

  • 7 years of digital media experience

  • Business development experience working with media agencies is essential

  • Knowledge of the media landscape

  • Ecommerce experience

  • Self-service or platform sales experience

  • Proven track record of delivering results and generating transformational growth

  • Ability to successfully engage and negotiate at C-Level within agencies and agency groups

  • Strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

· Experience working in eCommerce

· Programmatic and/or self-serve platform sales experience

· Confidence in working with product teams to evangelize customer requirements
