LGE Canada Appliance Technician (In-house) in Toronto, Ontario

LG Canada currently seeks an Appliance Technician to support inbound calls from Authorized LG Service Centers. The technician will provide professional, technical support over multi forms of media (Phone, email, published Articles…etc). This position supports LG’s strategic plan to provide high quality in-home repair for our customers (end-users), while consistently improving the speed of repair.

  • Handling inbound call volume from Authorized Service Providers at a national level.

  • Delivering extremely high level of technical expertise to resolve problems in the field.

  • Reviewing and approving Return Authorization requests from authorized Service Providers.

  • Documenting and reporting field quality issues to HQ representative.

  • Providing technical support internally to different Business Units.

  • Testing / troubleshooting problem equipment in our Technical Support lab.

  • Supporting Parts inquiries from our Authorized Service providers.

  • Article / video creation for publication on LG systems.

  • Required to be knowledgeable of and adhere to all applicable Health and Safety regulations, both legislatively mandated and as outlined in company policy.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams

  • Ability to communicate in French (verbal and written would be an asset).

  • Required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license at all times

  • Must possess eagerness and passion to continually learn and evolve new technical skill

  • Previous experience in servicing appliances, including: ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, microwaves, air conditioners etc

  • Prior experience in servicing LCD, Plasma and/or LED TV’s would be considered a definite benefit
