This person will develop solutions and build business processes to "free the data" from its silos. Strive to provide the business user with access to any desired data, when they need it and in the manner they want to consume this information. Oversee the development practices and methodologies, ensuring consistent, reliable and accurate data across the enterprise.
Develop and implement the Data & Analytics roadmap & governance model; articulating the transition from current to future state, and documenting the strategic intent as a part of any design solution. Drive implementation of new Data & Analytics platforms & capabilities. Continually learn future IT trends and incorporate proof of concepts and innovation programs within strategic roadmaps for data & analytics.
The position requires interaction with business partners to understand the required capabilities. This includes assessing the current state and developing IT strategies that support the business strategies. Includes requirement gathering, estimating resources, collaborate with IT delivery teams & 3rd party vendors for project prioritization & execution. Ensure project plans are defined and executed to achieve the business and technical objectives. This role will report directly to the Director, Data & Analytics.
Plans and performs reviews of processes; prepares audit programs and work papers detailing audit procedures ensuring adequate audit evidence is obtained in accordance with departmental and professional standards.
Responsible for documenting business processes through narratives and flowcharts, evaluating internal controls and updating the auditing database in a timely manner, maintaining accurate record of the audit work and follow up performed.
Effect change by assisting management to develop appropriate action plans to address deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to effectively address the issues. .
Communicates audit results to the VP for consideration and presents audit findings to management of operation being audited.
Assists in formulating audit reports for management.
Participate in the planning, documentation, testing and reporting phases of the Sarbanes Oxley compliance process. Recommends appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
Assists in performing special reviews and analyses.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with management and the audit team.
Assists Company’s CPA firm in their annual examination when assigned.
Maintains continuing education and proficiency in internal audit practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
7-10 years of strong data & analytics focused Information Systems experience; Relevant industry certifications Experience in Designing, modeling, building, and maintaining physical databases, dimensional data models, data warehouses, OLAP cubes, ETL layer design and data integration strategies leveraging database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, Informatica.
Large Scale Data warehouse & Operational Data Store development cycle experience - from user requirements definition through design, development, testing and implementation.
Comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehouse development methodologies E.g. Kimball, Inmon.
Hands on experience with data Integration from different types of sources into a big data platform like Cloudera, Hortonworks.
Hands on Experience architecting & developing with Cloud Databases e.g. Amazon Redshift.
Report development experience with tools like Tableau, Micro Strategy, SSRS, Cognos.
Experience architecting and implementing Master Data Management solution.
Experience collaborating with & managing offshore development technology partners.
Expert level skills in Databases, SQL/T-SQL, ETL.
Expertise troubleshooting data quality issues and analyzing data requirements.
Strong analytical capabilities and ability to make recommendations based on data.
Strong executive presence and relationship building skills; and ability to interact with & influence CxO level & clients.
Skillful in mentoring and managing team members (internal & offshore) in technology, architecture and delivery of data/analytics solutions.
