Job Summary:

  • Develops a vision and strategy for global data governance;

  • Implements and coordinates Data Governance activities across all sites in coordination with Subject-Matter Experts, Role Owners, Data Stewards, Lead users and other Stakeholders;

  • Manages the day-to-day operation regarding the maintenance of Master Data in corporate systems (e.g. SAP), as per current Good Manufacturing Practices and Change Control policies;

  • Is accountable for the overall quality of Master Data, and for monitoring and controlling its accuracy, consistency, completeness, etc.;

  • Provides guidance and oversees the adherence to Master Data and Meta-Data standards and policies across systems, organizational units and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team responsible for processing change requests and maintaining GMP Master Data objects (Materials, BOMs, recipes, inspection plans, etc. ) accordance with established Service-Level agreements, timelines, policies and procedures;

  • Reports to the Data Governance Steering Committee, collaborates with leadership across the organization to identify business needs and implement Data Governance capabilities and processes;

  • Schedules, sets the agenda and facilitates senior Data Governance meetings; and leads the community of Data Stewards and coordinates their efforts to continuously improve data quality;

  • Acts as senior point of contact for rush, critical or highly-complex data and change requests, and is able to efficiently prioritize, delegate and coordinate ensuing activities among staff;

  • In conjunction with Compliance and Quality Departments, responds to Regulatory Inspections and Inquiries related to systems’ Master Data and configuration;

  • Supports, coaches and motivates team, customers and stakeholders to ensure overall quality;

  • Fosters a climate in which people want to do his/her best and leverages individual differences and talents to optimize productivity;

  • Assesses situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and makes clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization;

  • Recruits, trains, develops and manages effectively the ongoing performance of their direct reports, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring their Job Descriptions are reviewed, signed and sent to Employee Services, annually,

  • Reviewing and updating employee development plans, ensuring that all employees are properly trained and qualified to execute their duties,

  • Providing coaching, feedback and recognition,

  • Responsible to ensure compliance of team members (direct reports) with Safety and Employment policies (e.g., Respect in the Workplace – Prevention of Violence and/or Harassment);

  • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes;

  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements;

Job Responsibilities for Centre of Excellence (COE):

  • Direct, design and execute COE related activities and programs that are complex and critical in nature. In addition, the COE will select, lead, counsel, motivate, and evaluate a team of professionals to meet the goals of the organization;

  • Managing the administrative policies, procedures, risks, issues, problem resolution and decision making as well as budgeting and prioritizing based on the need of the business;

  • Anticipate and assess emerging global skill expertise by evaluating resource trends, political and economic trends and environments, socio-cultural norms and future technology;

  • Identify and recommend the COE skills, center locations, resource requirements, and process implementations;

  • Lead and oversee center implementation and deployment, build supplier relationships, execute contracts, assess progress and monitor development;

  • Stay informed of industry standards, best practices and global trends to proactively enhance competitive advantage;

  • Monitor, audit, and assess center performances vs. business objectives to implement improvements, determine continued relevance, and anticipate opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering required.

  • Demonstrated experience in a management role within the Pharmaceutical, Consumer Packaged Goods, Information Systems, Project Management and/or Management Consulting industries;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERP and of other commercial applications, including superior understanding of SAP Master Data regarding Material Management (MM); Quality Assurance (QA); Sales (SD); and Production Planning (PP);

  • Advanced understanding of Business processes and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry;

  • Excellent presentation skills in a variety of settings with business or technical users in small and large groups;

  • Superior problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
