SUMMARY OF PURPOSE/MAJORRESPONSIBILITIES

The Environmental Compliance Managerleads and supports the implementation and maintenance of the site’sEnvironmental Management Program in conformance with the ISO 14001 standard andthe Sanofi HSE Global Standards. TheManager will work with the Industrial Operations department, Research andDevelopment department and HSE team to support efficient, responsible researchand manufacturing in compliance with all Municipal, Provincial and FederalEnvironmental regulations. The Managerwill support the requirement for continuous improvement by proactivelyimplementing programs and solutions.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure that site’s activities are incompliance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Environmental Regulationsand Corporate HSE standards.Ensure that site’s activities are incompliance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Environmental Regulationsand Corporate HSE standards.

  • Perform on-site internal audits toconfirm compliance, investigates incidents, deliver HSE training, assesse short/longterm risks and recommend corrective actions.   • Ensure procedures are implemented tocontrol the company’s waste streams (including solid non-hazardous, chemical,and biomedical). Ensure that all wastesare disposed of appropriately and in accordance with all regulations.   • Responsible for managing historicalcontamination projects including soil, groundwater, and hazardousmaterials.   • HSE Team Support. Participate in oncall rotation with other HSE team members to ensure 24/7 coverage of siteoperations. Qualifications

Education and experience
