Robert Half Technology IT/ Business Relationship Manager in Toronto, Ontario

Our client located in the Toronto area is looking for a Technical/ Business Relationship Manager This is a contract opportunity for approximately 6 – 10 months in duration (potential of extensions) The selected individual will report directly to the CEO. JOB REQUIREMENTS The Technical/ Business Relationship Manager will ensure execution and progress of the Company's Business and IT requirements while adhering to appropriate IT strategy development, solution discovery, service delivery and management, governance and risk management, and relationship management. In addition, the role will:

  • Support and liaise between the Company, its Parent and Regional Groups in the areas of technology and provide consultative level support and guidance throughout key initiatives,

  • Partner with stakeholders and serve as a "trusted advisor" for the function and act as a key point of contact for the Company,

  • Advocate on behalf of stakeholders to ensure IT services meet business priorities and needs. Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate individuals regarding service requests, projects and initiatives,

  • Work with key stakeholders, facilitate and serve as a lead during the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the Company to achieve objectives through the effective use of established shared global services and service model while supporting the transition to the target operating model,

  • Manage third party services based on project and business delivery requirements, while ensuring alignment to the organizational model, delivery of local business requirements, adherence to service level agreements, and maintenance of local accountability for all outsourced IT functions in accordance with local laws and regulations,

  • Identify technology risks and opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's business requirements.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 7 – 10 years of internal/external IT experience

  • At least 5 years working in IT Management, Business Analyst or Project Management, consulting, process engineering or solution management role in an IT environment with significant customer exposure

  • Experience successfully leading and implementing large, complex projects and/or in business/IT consulting/management roles with specific experience required in:

  • Cloud hosted solutions of core business applications, email and similar requirements as well as experience in making the transition to a cloud solution

  • strong experience in reviewing, advising and negotiating contracted services agreements

  • Deploying standard imaging solutions for employee system and equipment migration

  • Managing all aspects of a network move from a local to large multinational

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills

  • Strong business acumen required

  • Requires leadership and negotiation skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis and IT processes

  • Ability to work with both limited and strong management direction
