Sanofi Pasteur Limited is looking for motivatedand results driven individuals to join our Washing and Sterilizing team as a LabSupport Technician. Key responsibilities will include the following:


1.Washand assemble stainless steel tanks/glassware:

-Washtanks according to validated cleaning procedures using designated acids, bases,and Water for Injection.

-Preparestanks and glassware for component pertussis, final products, and fermentation areasaccording to validation protocols and diagrams.

-FollowsSOP’s and completes BPR’s to assure tanks will meet specifications, performsintegrity tests on vent filters, stores tanks and glassware in correctlocations.

-OperatesTank Wash Station according to SOP’s.

2.Loadingautoclaves for sterilization and decontamination:

-AssistsGroup Leader and Autoclave Operators to load and unload autoclaves according tostandard loads (unloads decontamination autoclaves).

3.Operatewashing machines for bottles, nalgenes, etc.:

-Prepareglassware for cleaning in bottle washer, prepare and clean syphons, operateboiling sinks, operate sonicator, and unload decon autoclaves.


-Discardingof waste from decon autoclaves, nalgenes, glassware, and tanks, etc.

-Properdisposal of glassware and waste for Component Pertussis, Fermentation and bulkproducts as required.

5.SampleWater For Injection and clean steam system:

-Prepareequipment, tubes, etc, for Water For Injection sampling according to validatedprocedures.

-Sampleoutlets according to schedule and assures samples reach labs within specifiedtimeframe.

-Personnelmust be validated to take Water For Injections and clean steam samples byQuality Assurance and training record on file.

-Revalidationas required by supervisor and Quality Assurance.

6.Maintainsterilization and cleaning records, chart recorders for autoclaves and coolers,batch production records and documentation:

-Documenteach step in Washing tanks, assembly of tanks, assembly of small equipment.

-Documentationin log books of cleaning work areas washing equipment, maintenance work, airmonitoring, and pH monitoring.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum high school degree.

  • Minimum of six (6) monthof previous relevant experience in a hospital or pharmaceutical company.

  • Previous experience in operationof autoclaves considered an asset

  • Strong knowledge andfamiliarity with autoclaves, temperature controlled equipment, laboratoryequipment and cGMP practices.

  • Strong problem solvingability.

  • Demonstrated abilityto work independently and make quick decisions in accordance with SOPs andtraining.

  • Basic computer skillsand the ability to enter and maintain accurate data and in a timely manner.

Hours of Work:

Tuesday to Saturday

Tuesday to Friday 2:00p.m.-10:00p.m.

Saturday 7:00a.m.-3:00p.m.
