Reports to: Executive Vice President & COO, Director, Strategy & Planning
Status: Permanent Full-time
As an integral member of Hospital based Executive teams, the responsibilities of the Manager, Strategy (Clinical Programs and Optimization) are primarily: the planning, design, implementation, management and coordination of assigned projects for the EVP & Chief Operating Officer (COO) portfolio. The major project areas covered include providing strategic advice to the EVP & COO as well as support for specific project planning, strategic and program planning and ad hoc data and information reporting.
The principle responsibilities of this position are: providing strategic advice and support to the EVP & COO; leading, planning and developing processes to achieve desired outcomes for all aspects of assigned projects, including defining / developing methodology to achieve results, supporting the development and implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives; developing MOHLTC/LHIN proposals as required; leading the implementation of key projects where appropriate; monitoring the external environment; supporting organizational decision support and ad hoc reporting; performing budgeting/financial management responsibilities as assigned; performing administrative responsibilities; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
Master’s degree in health, business administration or recognized equivalent
Five (5) years’ experience related to Strategic Program Planning and Project Management
Five (5) years’ experience providing related support to Senior Executive Teams, preferably in hospital setting
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Effective presentation skills
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with a diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
Experience in hospital/healthcare environment preferred
