This role functions as the main technical process leader for the area related to equipment, quality, and process in Label and Packaging. The role provides leadership on improving overall performance for the Labeling and Packaging operations. This includes safety, compliance, business process improvements and operational activities.

Sanofi Pasteur Limited is looking for motivated and results driven individuals to join our Filling and Packaging Department as a Process Manager. Key responsibilities will include the following:

Position Summary:

1.Provides leadership for set-up and troubleshooting of label and packaging machinery to mechanics in order to minimize equipment downtime.

2.Provides Continuous Improvement leadership for Labeling and Packaging. These are larger individual projects to improve OEE, Deviations, Yield, Etc.

3.Provides Project Management Support. Be the primary interface for coordinating and leading Package Engineering projects and similar activities. Will support technical transfers as required.

4.Assist and participate in equipment qualification and validation activities and provides guidance in preparing equipment training materials, operating manuals and standard operating procedures.

5.Provide leadership and direction for the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformances and assist in the resolution of associated root causes related to Labeling and Packaging.

6.Collaborate with members from various functional groups to support production schedule adherence.

7.Maintain state-of-industry knowledge and subject matter expertise.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.

  • Minimum 6-8 years of previous relevant experience is a minimum requirement.

  • Relevant industries: Vaccine or Manufacturing Pharmaceutical company, Food Processing is also being considered.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Project Management experience is a minimum requirement.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of equipment typically used in aseptic filling, inspection, labelling and packaging.

  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with cGMP practices, with context of pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

  • Strong analytical, hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Strong technical ability related to pharmaceutical and/or packaging equipment is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make quick decisions in accordance with SOPs and training.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter data accurately and in a timely manner.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
