This role reports to the Senior Director Bacardi Operations. Responsible for the communication, implementation, and execution of annual retail plans for the Bacardi portfolio. The Bacardi Retail Operations Manager is responsible for maximizing the performance of Bacardi brands. The performance of the Bacardi brands is based on defined metrics with the retail sales team within the designated accounts, PoS accounts, advocacy, visibility, quality, price availability, promotion and retail reporting. The role is also responsible for ensuring that the Southern Glazer’s retail sales team understands and executes all sales activities as per legal statutory and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the Bacardi Customer Marketing team

  • Responsible for the communication and implementation of annual retail plans for Bacardi Canada within the assigned geography.

  • Maximizing performance of Bacardi brands within dedicated Southern Glazer’s sales teams such that each provincial team understands brand priorities of field execution requirements, deadlines and specific store execution parameters

  • Ensure that performance against defined KPIs are tracked in each region of responsibility and reported within defined KPI time frames, as defined in the contract with the Bacardi contract
  • Understand intent of Bacardi Brands in terms of Brand representation in relevant retail channels
  • Communicate brand related information to each of the provincial leaders
  • Exposure to the Bacardi integrated activity plan process through communication with the Bacardi customer marketing team in order to understand executional requirements
  • Provide feedback to the Bacardi customer market team regarding program execution.
  • Ensure budgets are strategically aligned with Brand and Account plans and deliver DBC targets
  • Ensure that budgets are executed as per plan parameters
  • Understand blueprint of the market and ensure integrity/relevance of account lists to align with brand identity

  • Align customer strategy with brand strategy resulting in effective/efficient promotions & retail sales

  • Generate new and creative ideas to drive business and overcome business hurdles

  • Collaborate and provide direction to eachregional team in order to align with required Bacardi strategy

  • Provide input into organizational reviews/team development/succession planning and team training

  • Define, monitor, manager and report on a timely basis the Sales Execution Goals using PoS data and ensure integrity of the data

  • Participate in Business Reviews to reflect key business issues/successes and performance versus objectives

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Bacardi Operations to ensure that best business decisions are made for the region and the Retail/On Premise cohesion

  • Create synergies within retail teams (i.e. sharing of best practices, procurement of materials etc.)

  • Identify and develop relationships at all levels with key retail Store Managers, District Managers and Directors within the customer chain of command

  • Understand, communicate and comply with all statutory laws and regulations, self-regulatory codes applicable by province and ensure that all practices and executions meet applicable statutory guidelines

  • Ensure the infield execution of programmingmeets the Southern Glazer’s and Bacardi corporate responsibility guidelines and standards

Qualifications

Four year Post Secondary degree preferred in marketing, advertising, business management or other related field

  • Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
  • Must be of legal drinking age
