SEI Risk and Performance Analyst in Toronto, Ontario

Position Description

As a member of SEI Canada’s Investment Management Unit (IMU), the Risk and Performance Analyst’s primary objective will focus on daily oversight of investment portfolios against regulatory restrictions and investment guidelines. The Analyst will also manage all required data to generate and monitor Fund and sub-advisor performance and analytics in support of it its primary objective. .

Role Responsibilities

Daily monitoring of investment funds and sub-portfolios against all restrictions and thresholds Co-ordinate and manage all data requirements to support needs of the portfolio management team including analytics, derivatives reporting, compliance verification Work with solutions vendors and internal partners to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of monitoring rules maintained and reporting generated to evidence daily monitoring activities Investigate and escalate all identified exceptions and violations Work with internal portfolio managers and external sub-advisors to obtain explanations for compliance violations and manage issues to resolution Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for Compliance on monitoring activities Key participant on Valuation Committee, leading all exception-based pricing investigation, making recommendations for Committee approval Prepare monthly and weekly performance reporting for Funds and related sub-advisors Daily monitoring of cash flow requirements for SEI Funds and sub-advisors Support internal business units with various data requestsmonitoring Coordinates with IMU and Risk colleagues to develop best practices and leverage global SEI capabilities

Position Requirements

CFA charterholder or candidate Familiarity with regulatory requirements of Investment Fund Managers and Portfolio Managers, NI 31-103 and 81-102 Minimum of 3 years of portfolio management firm experience with a focus on portfolio administration Familiarity with securities pricing, performance calculations, and impact on Fund level NAV’s Understanding of derivatives and hedging strategies including futures, forwards, options, swaps, CDO’s CLO’s, and other structured products Advanced Microsoft Office product suite skills, particularly Excel. Self-starter with ability to work well both in a team environment and independently Working knowledge of any/all of the following software Bloomberg, Factset, Blackrock Aladdin, FTSE/TMX Canada PcBond, CIBC Mellon Workbench, EVestments Eligible for registration with OSC as an Advising Representative or Associate Advising Representative an asset Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
