Job Purpose (Job Summary): This position is responsible for delivering staffing services to Invesco that yield results, credibility and success. The Talent Acquisition Partner will be working closely with the internal clients to deliver high quality candidates that fit both the job specifications and the organizations culture. While guiding hiring managers and candidates through the Invesco selection process, the Talent Acquisition Partner advances Invesco’s employment brand across our local markets and the asset management community. This individual performs full lifecycle recruiting and maintains excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Provide exceptional client service and full lifecycle recruiting within Invesco
  • Partners with business leaders to understand the talent acquisition needs and to develop a multi-faceted recruitment strategy
  • Meets regularly with HR Business Partners and client leadership to review and understand workforce plans
  • Develops recruitment solutions supporting clients’ workforce plans
  • Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire and as workforce planning needs dictate
  • Ensures understanding of job duties, responsibilities, critical competencies, and business requirements
  • Develops complete and detailed search specifications, screening questionnaires, reasonable timeline, specific sourcing strategy, appropriate interview process (including assessment testing if applicable), and selection criteria for open positions he or she is assigned to
  • Reviews overall recruitment plan with client to set expectations and confirm agreement
  • Routinely visits client departments to thoroughly understand their culture and uses that understanding to help assess candidates’ cultural fit
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-Art recruiting practices that result in the attraction of high caliber active and passive candidates
  • Constantly participates in the new development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts including:
  • user groups, professional organizations, university contacts, and alumni career centers to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Leverages online resume databases and in-house applicant tracking system (TALEO) to identify and recruit the best candidates
  • Manages on-line postings of positions on Invesco’s internal and external career centers as well as third-party general and niche job boards
  • Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Prescreens candidates and presents a short-list of qualified candidates to hiring manager advising of candidate highlights and focus areas needing further evaluation during managers’ interviews
  • Prepares candidates for interviewing with Invesco by providing relevant, accurate, and inspiring information about the company, department, specific position and Invesco’s value proposition, including the company’s benefits, career development opportunity, and compensation structure
  • Manages and coordinates all candidate communication, travel, and scheduling
  • Uses behavioral-based interviewing methodologies when performing interviews and, where necessary, coaches hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques
  • Organizes, leads and documents post-interview debrief sessions with interview teams and candidates to ensure consistent objective decision making based on previously defined selection criteria
  • Captures and maintains accurate, well-ordered documentation within our ATS on all candidates and recruiting activities
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within compensation guidelines considering factors such as market data and internal equity appropriate for the candidates’ level of expertise and experience
  • Maintains contact with candidates between offer and start date to ensure engagement
  • Review results of background check prior to hire
  • Conducts follow-up calls with hiring managers and new hires for quality improvement purposes
  • Maintains ownership and accountability for all administrative work delegated to the HR Coordinators

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of Full Lifecycle Recruiting experience
  • Experience in IT recruiting is required
  • Experience in Consulting / Corporate recruiting required
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize while handling high volume of recruiting
  • Working knowledge of HR terminology, practices and their application as they pertain to the recruitment cycle (i.e. benefits, compensation)
  • Must be detail oriented and self motivated with strong initiative and follow-through, excellent communication and organizational skills

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Ability to successfully develop and maintain strong, proactive relationships with clients
  • Knowledge of accepted employment practices
  • Above average computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prior experience with automated resume tracking systems is preferred. Good to have experience on Taleo.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical
  • Ability to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies in order to attract, screen, and select high quality candidates
  • Experience in hiring using social networking medium
  • Must possess a strong drive for results with the ability to operate successfully in a team-based environment
  • Ability to assist hiring managers with salary negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgment sufficient to handle sensitive employment issues
  • Must have judgment sufficient to analyze job requirements, determine applicants’ abilities, and to make hiring decisions

Formal Education:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent years of direct experience required

License/Registration/Certification:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • HR certification is desirable
