Robert Half Technology Technical Sales Engineer in Toronto, Ontario
Our client in the Scarborough area is looking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer. This is a contract to full time opportunity. In this role you would be responsible to:
Provide detailed technical design and blueprint on assigned implementation and installation projects
Identify all technical issues of assigned project to ensure customer satisfaction with project delivery
Work with RSM, customer integrator/technical management team and SME on providing technical direction on project in resolving complex implementation and installation issues
Runs project status meetings, identifies resources required, issues in each area to support project activities and prioritizes resolution
Work with technical support team where necessary to provide guidance on customer site equipment set up to ensure effective trouble shooting
Act as a liaison between Customer, technical support, sales and R&D; Team
Provide feedback to Management including (but not limited to): software and hardware features, customization
Working with the RSM to improve the processes used to implement the product and to standardize product implementations
Write down, track plans and submit reports as required by Management
Primary responsibility in the collection and documentation of user's requirements
Escalate unresolved issues following established escalation guidelines
Ensure satisfactory transfer of care, custody and control of solution upon completion of project
Working with SME to conduct product and system training programs for sales staff and departments internally
Assist Sales Team with Trade Show logistics globally (both assembly and equipment testing by others).
Upon completion of project design, pass on parts list to Account Management for quotations
Provide training to sales team on new products and features
Assist marketing team with technical related documents
Participates in sales strategies within the various market segments depending on the company goals
Maintain up to date knowledge of new product releases by working with R&D; and Product Development team; effectively present new products, promotional concepts and activity, and conduct business reviews.
Liaise with Company's major technical project leads to ensure that communication and processes are accurate and maintained in an orderly fashion.
