They need a blend of someone with accounting knowledge who has is also a strong business analyst with Great Plains or Explorer Contract Management skills. This special project is expected to run for 4+ weeks. Reporting to the Director, and working with various user groups, the Business Analyst will be responsible for the following:- Understand data flow and have the ability to work with complex data- Strong SQL skills used for provide support with queries, and report writing- Utilize advanced Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot Tables- Build templates and prototypes after defining scope, budget, business requirements from the Managers- Assist with the testing process- create structure for sales documents right through to posting the necessary journal entries. Requirements: To be considered for this project team, you could be a designated accountant CPA, (CA/CGA/CMA) with proven experience as a Business Analyst, sound knowledge of accounting and financial systems in a mid-sized company environment. You are familiar with data extraction, managing multiple databases, and querying databases. You have experience being able to project manage and lead special projects and work with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and provide business solutions for them. You also have experience with system implementation projects and integrating different systems within an organization. You have excellent accounting operations knowledge complemented with solid IT skills and experience. You have a broad view of business operations and can understand the big picture of how a project can help an organization. You are dynamic and organized, have great communication & interpersonal skills, and the proven ability to work both independently and within teams. You work well under extremely tight deadlines and milestones. Experience with Great Plains would be a bonus.
