This is a great opportunity for those who have recently graduated to build up their work experience in the accounting field. Responsibilities for this Entry Level Accounting Clerk position include:

  • Assisting with Accounts Payable and Receivable including billing;
  • Bookkeeping;
  • Entering cheques and assisting with invoice matching and filing;
  • Assisting with month end processes;
  • Processing general expense invoices and preparing bank deposits;
  • Weekly payroll;
  • Journal entries;
  • Other ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.

To be considered for this exciting Entry Level Accounting Clerk role, the selected candidate will have previous experience in a similar role combined with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized and able to work independently as well as with others. The successful candidate will also have great time management skills and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Having enrolled in a CPA program or looking to do so would be considered an asset.
