We are seeking talented individuals to help drive the restaurant business into the 21st century with mobile applications that will allow for guests to reserve, place orders, call associates, pay, and write reviews all in one app. Help Cara update and create highly functional mobile apps to be used in restaurants all over Canada.
Contribute to the CARA development organization helping to make a world-class CARA mobile app
Make proactive recommendations to improve guest experiences based on analytics
Lead the strategy and recommend solutions to meet CARA’s mobile strategies
Participate in development planning sessions and meet agreed deliverable dates for new features and enhancements
Safeguard consumer data in accordance with CARA’s data security policies
Adhere to CARA’s software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Work effectively with a tight team of world-class designers, web developers and back-end developers
Quickly resolve outstanding defects and issues
Use all available and emerging creative development tools in your work
Work collaboratively with team members to clarify business requirements, create comprehensive and viable designs with effort estimations
Actively participate as a direct resource to projects as required in the following areas:
Wireframe development (PhotoShop or other similar programs), site (XHTML, DHTML, HTML,
Architect, design, develop, maintain and support all software components of CARA mobile solutions
Creating documentation for new features and application changes
Supporting our QA team in testing your features formally (test scenarios) as well as informally
Build out QA test ‘lab’ for devices and handsets necessary for the QA team to adequately test CARA’s mobile strategies
Working with our infrastructure team to debug issues as they arise in production
Innovating new solutions and researching new technologies that may complement CARA’s eCommerce sites – help make CARA’s mobile commerce experience world class
BSc in computer science or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3 years hands-on mobile development experience
Hands on experience developing responsive HTML websites
Significant iOS app development background with extensive experience programming in Objective-C, Swift 3, Xcode
Experience developing applications with Apple Pay
iOS application test and launch experience
Experience implementing device detection logic and creating mobile-optimized HTML pages for non-app consumer workflows
Ability to create simple yet extendable UI designs
A track record of on-time delivery
A clear understanding of performance best practices
Irrepressible passion for building a great consumer product that our customers will love
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to create strong working relationship with cross-functional teams.
