Installer/Warehouse technician

Position Summary: Provides installation expertise and customer service to our customers, Cultivates existing and new business relationships

Significant Relationships:

  • Customers

  • Other Installers

  • Service Leader(s)

  • Sales Reps

  • Service and Admin Manager(s)

  • District Manager

Immediate Subordinates:

  • None specifically, but must work well with others

  • A high level of Customer Satisfaction

  • The cultivation of Add-on and New Business

  • Accurate, timely deliveries with zero callbacks

Principle Objectives:

  • To provide a premium quality of Service to our customers utilizing Best Practices products and procedures or others as indicated by training and supervisory associates

  • To maintain present business relationships by delivering when and what we promised

  • To encourage business growth by securing leads and passing along customer requests

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Loads truck and exercise care to bring all required plants and hard goods for each order

  • Maintains a proper compliment of tools and consumable supplies

  • Installs all goods in accordance with job specifications and company policy

  • To ensure our customer’s site is clean and orderly when done with required services

  • To obtain customer’s signature when all work is accomplished

  • To communicate all necessary information with Service Leader during daily contact

  • To maintain all necessary records as indicated by Service Leader

  • May be required to perform certain service tasks relative to specimen plant care

  • Works independent of direct supervision most of the day. Must often make timely, cost efficient decisions relative to job at hand

  • To maintain vehicle in a clean and safe operational condition

  • To wear the issued uniform in a complete, clean and neat manner

  • To use and reasonably protect all company issued materials in a professional manner

  • To agree to promptly return all company issued materials if requested to do so

  • To attend all meetings as required

Health and Safety Responsibilities: Provide to all employees a safe, without risk, working environment. This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements as specified by the company and other government regulatory agencies. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Reporting/remedy of potential hazards

  • Storing, handling and disposing of chemicals

  • Timely reporting of first reports of injury to the appropriate person with accurate and timely completion of necessary forms.

  • Conduct health and safety audits of each employee to ensure work is in accordance with the safety policies of the company and other government regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure that written health and safety procedures for each job task are up to date and available to include any potential health and safety risk in site specific areas.

  • Attend any required Health & Safety meetings or training sessions

Working Environment: The team member may be subject to one or more of the following environmental conditions

  • Within our customers place of business; office, atrium, lobby, mall, etc. Occasionally, some exterior garden work

  • Normally involves substantial driving

Physical Requirements: The team member may be required to perform one or more of the below functions on a day to day basis.

Limits of Authority:

The following must not be undertaken without prior agreement of the Service Leader/Branch Manager:

  • The issue of any purchase orders

  • The purchase of any goods without specific supervisory permission

  • The purchase or use of any products outside the normally issued range

Skill areas:

  • Reasonable communicate skills

  • May be required to take and pass and maintain state mandated pesticide training and licensing

  • Ability to accurately read blueprints and work orders

  • Knowledge of local roads

  • A time sensitive approach to tasks

Personal Characteristics:

  • An outgoing, people pleasing personality

  • A desire to provide service satisfaction

  • Fit and energetic, significant physical work involved all day long, on a daily basis. Lot’s of walking, bending and lifting

  • Detail and time sensitive

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Any prior job that involved significant successful customer contact/service is a plus

  • A valid drivers license for class of vehicle driven

  • Some horticultural knowledge helpful
