Mayors Jewelers Manager Loss Prevention (Toronto or Montreal) in Canada

Under the supervision of the Director Loss Prevention & Internal Audit, the objective of the Canadian Loss Prevention Manager is to provide a safe and secure workplace for all team members and clients. The position assists in strengthening the financial structure at Birks, to reduce operating and shareholder risk. This position is responsible to educate all stores in policies and procedures and to reduce loss for the company.

  • Coordinates and supervises all Asset Protection activities in the Canadian locations

  • Coordinates and supervises all security related issues in the Brinkhaus locations.

  • Investigates losses and report findings to Director and Retail Management

  • Coordinates and implements store audit programs

  • Coordinates and implements interactive training program and BCSS for loss prevention policies and procedures.

  • Conducts investigations and collaborates with Human Resources and Loss Prevention Director to determine disciplinary warning.

  • Builds a network of law enforcement contacts to assist in prioritizing Birks crimes with Police Departments

  • Prepares and executes security strategy for all Public Relations functions in the retail store locations

  • Assist the Director Loss Prevention & Internal Audit in coordinating security strategy for renovations and new stores in Canadian locations

  • Build alliances with JVC organization and fellow jewelers in Canada.

  • Maintain store based and remote monitoring of CCTV program for Canada

  • Handles all administration of keys, alarm codes, and safe combinations for Canadian locations.

  • Supervises and maintains guard activity in all Birks locations.

  • This person will be on call 24/7 and will be traveling at least twice a year to visit all stores in Canada.

A. EDUCATION

  • College diploma in Criminology or any related field

    B. EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of loss prevention experience in a multi-store environment

    C. SKILLS

  • Solid knowledge of MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
