HNHB Community Care Access Centre Permanent Full Time Supervisor, Performance Excellence in Canada

In a project-based environment, the Performance Excellence Supervisor will successfully document, develop, and deliver complex solutions and business data analysis. This position is responsible for the management, development and customization of the event management application (RL Solutions) and the development of reports for monitoring and analyzing to help inform quality, patient safety and service provider performance improvements. Using proven methods and tools, the role supports the planning, gathering, packaging, validating, and managing of project deliverables in partnership with internal and external Stakeholders.

Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • The candidate will function in a project-based environment, working with Continuous Improvement Project Managers, HNHB CCAC Directors, Managers and Human Resources, as well as operational subject-matter experts to successfully document, develop, and deliver complex solutions and business data analysis.

  • Provide process re-engineering support through the use of Lean Six Sigma tools

  • Responsible for gathering and documenting business work packages within the scope of an overall project, including Business Requirements, Communication and Training strategy

  • Coordinate and manage project documentation

  • Provide estimates of work effort and duration for work package deliverables creating project plans for assigned work packages with resources, effort and timelines using MS Project

  • Prepare confidential information, project reviews and business analysis on key issues, and providing confidential information to Human Resources concerning the potential impact of the selection and prioritization of business projects.

  • Participate in confidential business discussions as required with the Senior Management team and Human Resources and contribute to the determination of solid solutions to business and operational needs.

  • Complete the bi-weekly reporting for the PMO

  • Provide project support to Project Managers/LSS Black Belts

  • Lead small scale CI projects including managing and/or directing activities of non-union and union project participants as required.

  • Communicate project objectives, quality control and operational needs of the end users

  • Play a role in the continuous improvement of the CI practice by researching best practices, devising improvements, piloting new techniques, and creating more effective PMO & CI processes

  • Ability to provide and maintain accurate system documentation related to the business needs identified

  • Recommend new policies, methodologies and standards to improve the quality of the deliverables

  • Demonstrate industry practices in project, business analysis and change management leadership


  • University degree, preferably Business, Computer Systems/Science, and/or Health Care Administration,

  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in project coordination and business analysis

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset

  • Process Improvement Methodology experience and Green Belt certification would be an asset

  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management and complex business analysis experience

  • Min 2 years’ experience in the development of reports using SQL 2008 or above

  • Proficiency with computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, data collection and reporting methodologies and other software as required

  • Demonstrate strong communication (both verbal and written)

  • Proactive customer service focus

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff

  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to details, in particular as it relates to accuracy of data

  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities

  • Strong time management skills

  • Experience in a healthcare environment is an asset

  • Must have valid driver’s license and car to travel between branches and other sites
