Title: Senior Advisor Murex – IT Delivery Management, Financial Markets Location: QC

This position reports to the Application Manager.

Your main challenges

  • Analyze system change requests

  • Perform complex analyses, identify discrepancies and make recommendations to optimize system efficiency and resolve major problems

  • Understand business issues, identify and analyze business partners' needs

  • Document requests and make recommendations for designing or adapting systems to meet business needs and facilitate decision-making

  • Modify existing applications based on end-users' needs and business requirements

  • Analyze and develop system interfaces, as well as imports, exports and reports using the Murex platform

  • Ensure software quality and see that development activities under your responsibility run smoothly

  • Provide end-user support and support for internal application processes

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven years' relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field and five years' relevant experience

  • Experience in and knowledge of financial markets an asset

  • Demonstrated technical expertise: Murex on MxML, Mx Datamart, VaR module and transaction flow modelling, Pre-Trade/Post-Trade, MDRS an asset

  • Knowledge of KVAR, MORE, CES, NPFE an asset

  • Knowledge of Unix, Solaris 10, AIX, and Redhat 6.4

  • Knowledge of San storage

  • Knowledge of Windows Server

  • Knowledge of SQL, Unix Solaris, Sybase, Oracle, C , XML

  • Technical skills: Java, Korn Shell, PERL (assets)

  • Good organizational skills and thoroughness, as well as proven ability to work independently

  • Good analytical and synthesizing skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure

  • Bilingualism both spoken and written - English and French

Work schedule can request availabilities during evenings and weekends
