Title: Senior Analyst – Rotation Program, Risk Management Location: QC

National Bank is currently looking for a Senior Analyst for the Risk Management sector's Rotation Program starting in May 2017.

Nature of the contribution

The Rotation Program is structured to identify and recruit talented and motivated new graduates interested in a career with National Bank's Risk Management team.

Over the course of your 6-month rotation, you will have the opportunity to learn about the activities and responsibilities of some of the risk management teams. Your rotations will cover different aspects of risk management, particularly credit risk and operational risk, which will allow you to deepen your understanding of risk management and get a better idea of your interests.

At the end of the program, you will be offered a permanent assignment with a team that satisfies both your interests and the company's needs.

Main responsibilities

As Senior Analyst – Risk Management, you will help implement effective risk management systems and procedures. More specifically, you may be asked to:

-Develop a solid understanding of the risk management governance framework and risk appetite framework

-Help implement reliable stress tests

-Play a role in validating models to make sure risks are properly assessed

-Help assess counterparty credit ratings

-Improve your technical capabilities by performing specific analyses and taking part in projects and day-to-day operations related to risk management

-Prepare risk reports

-Learn more about our products, services and activities

-Grow your professional network in the Risk Management sector and at the Bank

-A Master's degree in a finance-related discipline completed before May 2017 or within the past 2 years

-Excellent academic results

-Sound knowledge of financial products

-Independence, thoroughness, curiosity and a desire to learn and strive for excellence

-Familiarity with a programming language, an asset

-Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), an asset
