Manufacturing Analyst

You will be responsible for tracking and analyzing trends for Vistaprint's global manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing and Financial Teams, applying strong analytical skills to add definition to problems and solutions. Types of detailed analyses will include but are not limited to optimizing supply chain and logistics parameters, production scheduling optimization, productivity and quality metrics.

Your role will involve:

  • Specifying, monitoring and evolving key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing

  • Working closely with the manufacturing/engineering teams to understand business needs

  • Translating business needs into detailed requirements

  • Extracting appropriate information from rich data sources, analyze results and present findings and recommendations

  • Performing exploratory data analysis with globally distributed engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams

  • Becoming the go-to expert in use of company databases for manufacturing analytics

  • Defining required metrics and dimension

In return you will bring:

  • 3-5 years' professional experience in applicable disciplines

  • Bachelor's degree required (Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)

  • Masters degree a strong plus

  • Knowledgeable in SQL

  • Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions, VBA)

  • Strong understanding of statistical inference

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Confidence communicating openly with stakeholders in a growing global organization

  • Intense curiosity, ability to learn quickly and apply new tools and techniques

  • Passion to identify and define problems/solutions

  • Work with business owners to improve performance

  • Integrity, attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage projects

  • Ability to multi-task and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with OLAP, SAS, SPSS and other statistical packages

  • Familiarity with industrial engineering

  • Knowledge in TQM, SPC, Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing

  • Occasional travel (approximately 10%) to global manufacturing facilities
