The Agropur Milk Plant in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking to fill multiple positions for Order Selectors. You may have known us as the Lucerne Milk Plant in the past, and now we are part of Agropur Dairy Cooperative,an organization with a rich history throughout Canada. You’ve probably heard of us and seen our products, now you have an opportunity to be a part of making them. Are you wondering if this is the role for you?
Would you like working for an established organization that is growing quickly?
Agropur is pretty new to Manitoba, so people are just getting to know us still, but you get to join our established team and grow with us. We have been around for a long time and aren’t going anywhere soon; we offerstable local workso you can be with your family at the end of your shift.
Do you like variety in your shifts?
We run 24 hours so you could be working days or nights and on the weekend. Some people like this, other people don’t. We want people who enjoy a variety of shifts and schedules, because we want you to love working here as much as we do!
Do you like trying new things?
We have all kinds of directions your career can grow but this position may be responsible for many different duties, such as:
·Cleanliness of the facility
·Operating a variety of production equipment and any chemical testing required
Do you like working with your hands?
This job gives you plenty of opportunity for that, but we need you to be able to meet some physical demands such as bending, twisting, and heavy lifting up to 65 lbs. This also means you will need to complete a pre-employment medical test prior to starting here because your safety is our priority.
Would you like to be a part of creating a product that is on the tables of your friends and family?
Because this food is going onto our friends and family’s tables, we are kind of fussy about how it’s made. It’s important that candidates are able to do the following:
·Understand and follow plant policies and procedures.
·Become educated with all plant procedures such as safety training, handling of chemicals, WHMIS.
·Pallet Truck Usage.
·Learn and use Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP’s)
·Using Personal Protective Equipment. (PPE)
·Completing HACCP training.
·Ability to do other tasks as required.
·Experience with a pallet jack and/or forklift is a strong asset.
